Re: Command Line and Research Sandbox Functions in ICP

Hi, Sorry, I kind of missed your message ;). As you may have already realized, these 'research' options are not available via the command line. It wouldn't be hard to had them though. But it's becoming harder and harder for me to do all these (even small) modifications myself. I'll add it to the TOD...

Re: Rasterize via command line - grid step

For the records, I looked at the code, and the global shift information should be properly restored (if you don't use '-DROP_GLOBAL_SHIFT' of course). For the hanging issue, I've not been able to reproduce it. Do you have a reproducible way to make it happen? If yes can you send me the data via emai...

Re: 16-bits bands to scalar fields

Well, as I replied to the previous user, it would be possible to load this color fields as scalar fields (to avoid this issue). However I never got the sample dataset, therefore I couldn't do anything...

Re: Problem with LAS files - time layers at different heights?

Oh that's strange. Does it mean the problem comes from the files?

Re: Distance between points

You can use the much simpler 'Cloud to Cloud' distance. Depending on your data, it may also be more robust to fit a plane on one of the cloud and then compute the distances between the other cloud and the plane (with 'Cloud to Mesh' distance).

Re: CloudCompare can't read .pcd file on Mac OS Sierra

Not sure it's a real solution: you can use the Windows version ;) (only this version can open PCD files)

Re: a_srs needs a value - LAS export

Nope, I didn't get this issue. Which LAS filter did you use? The default 'LAS (*.las, *.laz)' one, or the 'LAS 1.3 or 1.4' one? I tested with the first one and it worked. For the other one, I can't try it right now :D. If you still have this issue, I would be interested to get the original LAS file....

Re: Workflow for exporting .las files as .obj?

1) Not sure why it's slower on PC. The algorithm uses all available cores (it runs in parallel, this is why it can take almost all the available CPU). Maybe your Mac has more cores? Or this kind of things are handled in more clever way by MacOS? 2) Well, FBX files can store per-vertex RGB color, but...

Re: Problem with LAS files - time layers at different heights?

Did you always use the same 'Global shift' for all files? You must set it to 'last input' (for the second and third cloud) otherwise CC will use the default LAS shift (which is specified in LAS files) and it may be the same for all 3 clouds.

Re: Cannot open CC 2.9.1 in W10 after a full reinstall

Hum, that's weird but it rings a bell (I believe someone on the forum has had this issue a few weeks ago...). You can try to install the Visual 2013 and 2017 redistributable packages (64 bits - but in fact the installer versions do it automatically). Otherwise maybe update the .Net framework?!
