Re: Error loading .obj-file

Nope. Can you send me the file so that I can look at it? (cloudcompare (at) danielgm.net).

Re: Oculus Rift and CloudCompare

I guess it's definitely possible (even with the mouse) but someone has to develop code to handle it ;)

Re: radius

Have you read the article? Otherwise if you use values that are close to what the 'guess params' returns, then it shouldn't be that bad.

Re: Oculus Rift and CloudCompare

No, sadly the mouse cursor is still handled by Windows and not by the Oculus... Not sure if there's a workaround

Re: Cloud-To-Cloud Issue

Ok, it's fixed in the code (it will be available in the next release). Meanwhile a (0, 0, 0) global shift should do the trick.

Re: radius

The density is a kind of local statistics, therefore you have to define how 'local' it should be. In effect you also have to find the radius yourself as it depends on whether the cloud is uniformly sampled or not, etc. Generally, the default value is good (it should be a percentage of the cloud boun...

Re: Surface of Revolution Analysis bugs

Everything's here: http://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/index.php?title=Surface_of_Revolution_Analysis_(plugin) And if your shape is a cylinder, you can now create a cylinder entity (with the Primitive Factory) and use it as reference (it's simpler than defining the profile manually).
