Re: Cloud/mesh distance and projection

Hi, thanks for the tips, it works perfectly. It is true that the rasterize tool is pretty powerful and if we use it correcly, it's possible to calculate volumes easily. For instance : water height summed up, on a 5x5 m grid, gives volume/25. Daniel, I think it would be interesting (that's could be p...

Re: Georef image in background

Hi Daniel,

we usually have ecw+ers and also jpg+jgw (the jgw basically gives the coordinates of one corner and the scale, assuming its a N/S/E/W matrix).

I don't know if any other formats are frequently used...

[FIXED] No refresh after a scalar to coordinate operation

Hello, here is a little bug I have found. Lets say, that I export coordinates to scalar field. Then I create a constant field, and a new one as sum of the 2 previous. If I set the last SF as coordinates (in the example it is a simple shift, but it could be more complex), I see the yellow bonding box...

Cloud/mesh distance and projection

Hello, the cloud/mesh distance functionnality allows to compute the shortest distance from a point to a mesh. Could it be possible to calculate the distance along a projection ? For instance, distance of a point to a mesh but using a vertical projection and not the shortest distance ? This could be ...

Georef image in background

Hello, I have checked the TODO.txt and I think what i'm kindly asking for is new. When we deal with LIDAR data, we usually have rectified pictures (1 km square for instance). Could it be possible to import these pictures in cloud compare to have a background picture that matches the cloud (that can ...

Contour in Rasterize non-continuous

Hello, I have found a bug in the contour function in Rasterize (very powerful btw, especially for treating non-height fields). When I treat topography data, some iso-lignes are not continuous (see attached picture). Bug CC.jpg If I demand closer lines, it looks worse. Bug CC2.jpg The void pattern lo...
