Re: M3C2 pause
A simple way to use your computer at the same time than M3C2 is running, is to change the priority of Cloudcompare to "low" in the task manager...then, if you're not working, it will use all cores, but if you need to work on something else, you'll have priority over CLoudcompare for the CP...

Re: qCANUPO (classifier files, etc.)
Hi Paul, sorry for my late reply. As I suspected this is typically a case where CANUPO won't help because there's no way the scanner (and I'm using the same X330) hits the ground. Hence, beyond large trees and big vegetation, the only solution it to derive a lowest point DEM or mesh (the 3D reshaper...

Re: qCANUPO (classifier files, etc.)
Hi Lexi, indeed this is strange ;-) are you sure the g_16_g-xyzi is indeed the ground and not "not ground" ? it might actually be a small bug...because I never really paid attention if the actual class number was well propagated in the end result (I'm generally happy that CANUPO separates ...

Split X,Y,Z component in C2C with local modelling
Hi Daniel, I noticed that when you select a local modelling in the Cloud 2 Cloud fonction, the split X,Y,Z tick box is grayed. Any chance we could have the split X,Y,Z option when a local modelling is used ? If I'm correct, there should not be any incompatibility with the fact that the reference poi...

Re: qCANUPO (classifier files, etc.)
Hi Paul, if you (with your naked eye) are not able to clearly distinguish the ground in your data, then Canupo won't help. The problem with dense vegetation such as grass, is that the laser never really hits the ground (at least for single echo laser scanner, latest generation RIegl instruments migh...

Re: Texture of collapsed towers
Great ! Jean-Baptiste, to get close to a "drawing" you could use the PCV plugin (computes sky visibility which is by definition low between bricks) or a curvature at the scale typical of the brick spacing. Then you play with the saturation of the color scale in BW mode and you should be cl...

Re: Texture of collapsed towers
Tu peux aussi m'appeler Jean-Baptiste, je pourrais vous dire si Cloudcompare pourra solutionner votre problème.

Rounding issue scalar field GPS time from las files
Hi, I use a lot the GPS_time information for individual points in airborne lidar stored in las1.3. Gps_time is generally the GPS time of the week in seconds. It needs to be precise at least at 1e-6 to account for typical acquisition frequencies of current systems (> 100 khz), and is coded over 32 bi...

Re: Liblas exception: 'version minor out of range" error
Just for information : Actually, las 1.3 can also include full waveform information. If you try to load a las 1.3 with FWF data embedded, Cloudcompare will report an error
