Re: qCANUPO (classifier files, etc.)
Sorry for Bruna ;-) RGB classification: it's very rare to be able to use it due to shadow effects (especially when you have... vegetation ;-)). Now, maybe by going back to the actual dense point cloud reconstruction phase and trying to be less strict on the depth processing this could help. My idea:...

Re: qCANUPO (classifier files, etc.)
Hi Bruno, answer before I saw the picture: the downside of use point clouds from SFM is that you have little penetration into the canopy of vegetation. With lidar, even single echo like TLS, you always have points in the vegetation, such that vegetation appears really 3D at relatively small scales. ...

Re: As anyone written a reader/writer of cloudompare .bin files for matlab ?
Hi Daniel, yes, I'd thought that the frequent evolution of the .bin format would be an issue. The pb is to be able to process in matlab large clouds with several scalars. Using ascii files is easy, but really painfull in terms of reading/writing and file size. Maybe the .pcd format would be a good b...

As anyone written a reader/writer of cloudompare .bin files for matlab ?
All in the title.
Something objected oriented as this very neat .las reader/writer would be great !

Re: bare earth extraction - simplified method
Yes, it's now called "rasterize" and it is much more evolved than the Height grid generation.

Re: M3C2 Question
HI Arturo, we're also using M3C2 to study marsh dynamics (erosion/accretion) and it works really well (once you've removed the vegetation). Have you read the original scientific paper (Lague et al., 2013) ? I strongly recommend to read it to really understand what's the difference between a cloud 2 ...

Dynamic LoD during zooming ?
HI Daniel, I just tried the 2.6.2 beta version and it's great (like the fact that it occurs in background and that you don't have to wait for the acceleration structure to be computed to see the data). I was experiencing with the dynamic LOD, and while the decimation works well when you are moving a...

Interactive modification of scalar values
Hi Daniel, I'm looking for a way to correct simple mistake in classification issues by 'interactively' changing the value of a scalar as a function of a selection in the 3D view. A tool like the "scissor" tool would be great except that rather than cutting, you'd simply enter the value of ...

Jason3d, you've just enlightened my day !
I've never tried HPR before, and it's just great !
How can I have missed this for the last 5 years I've been using CC :-(
