feedback request on qCSF (plugin of bare earth extraction from point cloud)

Hello. qCSF has been released more than four months, and the original post ( Add ground filtering plugin (CSF) to the official repository of cloudcompare ) was viewed nearly 2200 times. But several feedbacks were posted since we made a major update at the end of June. It has been good enough? We wan...

"side by side" and "top and bottom" stereo mode

Hello, Daniel. Anaglyph stereo modes were already supported in Cloudcompare, so maybe it is not hard to add "side by side" and "top and bottom" formats in stereo mode, isn't it? Many 3D TV and headsets support these two stereo formats, then the stereo 3D models will be easily vie...

Re: Some requests ideas...

Thanks, @daniel. I'll try them afterwards. BTW, there seems a bug in version 2.8. Some functions will cause CC crashed, such normals, density, roughness. I felt it was caused by Octree. Version 2.7 is ok. I tried some files (for example, http://www.itc.nl/isprswgIII-3/filtertest/CSite1_red2.zip), th...

Re: qCANUPO (classifier files, etc.)

Hi, @uasghar. For bare-earth extraction, there is another option. You may try new CSF plugin. (see http://www.danielgm.net/cc/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1724 ) Hope to see your comparison of qCANUPO and CSF. I guess qCANUPO should be better, because it uses more information to classify ground an...

Re: Some requests ideas...

Our paper is published in 2016 ;-) I have two more requests. 1.In properties window, it is better to add an item of "points density" (mean or median spacing between two points). Because some processing parameters depend on it. Currently, I measured it using "point picking" tool. ...

Re: CSF Lidar - congrats

Hi, @kachlica. Thank you for the affirmation. What is it in the attachment? Is it the mesh after selection of "Export cloth mesh"? The aim of CSF is to classify ground and non-ground points, cloth mesh is exported only because of Daniel's curious ;). It shows the final status of the droppi...

Re: qCSF compile (make) error on Ubuntu 16.04

it seems that size_t is not found. it should be modifed to "std::size_t" .
we created a pull request on the github, but their exists some conflicts, which need to be fixed to get merged.

Re: qCSF compile (make) error on Ubuntu 16.04

hi, @swiss_knight. We fixed these bugs several days ago, but it seems the modifications have not been updated to github, so we put it here temporarily, just overlap by files in the attachment. Please download it and discuss it in http://www.danielgm.net/cc/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1724&p=7...
