Re: CloudCompare for OSX (under wine emulation)
Nice work. It would be great to see CC under OS X. I've spent some time (documented here http://www.danielgm.net/cc/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=91 ) getting it compiling under OS X. It compiles, but crashes immediately. I managed to get the compile done (with the help of Daniel) because the compi...

[Done] Selecting Origin
Is it possible to select one point and make it the origin, so that rotations happen about that point? Can this be done on a per-layer (per-cloud) basis? This would make manual alignment of multiple clouds much easier.

If I want to cite or reference CloudCompare in a manuscript, do you have a preferred format?

Re: Ruler or Tape Measure
OS is OS X 10.6.8. Graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce 9400M CC is running inside VirtualBox running Windows XP. Still would LOVE an OS X port. Do you know of a site that would take bounties for completing the port? I would be willing to pay ~$100 USD. I know that isn't much, but there might be other OS...

Ruler or Tape Measure
I'd like to add a scale / ruler / tape measure to a scene. I don't see mention of these words on the forum or in the UI or the manual, but many screenshots on the manual have a scale bar. How do I add one?

Transparency?
I fit a plane to a surface. I'd like to make the plane visible but 50% opaque or 50% transparent. Is this possible? I could not find it in the UI nor the documentation.

Re: Portage to OS X
Hi Daniel, OK I have qCC compiling and linking on OS X. I get a binary that I can execute and it launches to the splash screen, but then crashes. This is either because of some compile error, or maybe a runtime error. There are a lot of libraries that it links to, and perhaps they need to be in the ...
