Data format for cloud point

Post by ziarehmann »

Hi,

I am very new user of cloudcompare, as a matter of fact just installed the software. I am scanning a suface using Panasonic distance sensor (Z cordinate) mounted on two linear actuators with encoder (encoder values x,y). I am getting this information (x,y,z coordinates 10000 points) in CSV format.

The basic question in which format can i import these values in cloud compare? Do i need any other file format? or any other conversion software?
Hope to hear from your side soon.

You should be able to load it directly from the CSV file (as an 'ASCII/text' format).
