Not sure about the layers, but:
- you can load meshes (or create 'plane' entities with various slopes) and move them around
- you can compute the 'dip' and 'dip direction' of a point cloud based on normals (and you can compute normals on the point cloud if it has none). The 'dip' value gives an indication on the slope (with respect to the +Z vertical direction)
- you can even extract 'facets' automatically and then classify them based on their dip direction typically (with the qFacet plugin).
