scaler field as weights in Cloud Registration

I am new in using CloudCompare. I was wondering if there is any document about how to use displayed data scaler field as weights in Cloud Registration.
What is the range of weight? Should it be between 0 and 1?
I already had the scaler field created and would like register point clouds based on this field.
If there is any one encountering similar cases, please give me some info.
