I think it's because of the Python plugin (that loads the Python environment). If you don't use it, you can probably uninstall and re-install CC without it.

Well, CloudCompare has no real roadmap, as it's developed by various individuals in their free time. So we would need someone motivated to add the support for such formats (support which is always welcome!)

You need to disable the mesh 'normals' (in its properties). And next to this option you have the 'wireframe' option as well.

Oui tout à fait. Mais travailler avec des très grandes coordonnées cause malheureusement des problèmes de précision. Dans ce cas il faudrait peut-être utiliser un 'scaling' dans le dialogue de Shift & Scale à l'ouverture ?

If your 'to-be-aligned' cloud is wider or maybe has non-overlapping areas with the 'reference' entity, then the corresponding point will bias the result.
